Dr. Addie Weaver, Assistant Professor and University of Michigan School of Social Work, has recently published “Technology-Assisted, Group-Based CBT for Rural Adults with Depression: Open Pilot Results.” This peer reviewed publication shares the results of a pilot project(n=9) for Raising Our Spirits Together(ROST), a technology assisted, group based program that delivers cognitive behavioral therapy for rural individuals with mild to moderate depression. The intervention is delivered virtually, by pastors that assist in navigating participants through the program. Participants are adults that live in rural Michigan, that are experiencing depression.
