Dr. Jackie Hawkins, Dr. Jamie Mitchell and Dr. Anao Zhang recently received the Curtis Center Signature Program Awards. Assistant Professors, Dr. Jackie Hawkins and Dr. Jamie Mitchell will be leading the African American Chronic Care Equity through Self Management Program. The initiative focus is to plan a symposium concentrating on building community partnerships to assist to “reduce chronic disease self-management disparities.” Assistant Professor, Dr. Anao Zhang will lead the Psycho-Oncology Fellowship to Support Pre-Doctoral Health Disparity on Adolescent and Young Adult Sex and Gender Needs During Cancer. The fellowship will focus on the unique developmental issues that are faced by adolescents and young adults with cancer. Check out more information about the awardees and each program here.
