TIDR Co-Directors, Dr. Addie Weaver and Dr. Joseph Himle, collaborated with Northville Public Schools superintendent Dr. RJ Webber to develop the Mental Health Can’t Wait Summer Internship Program. Five Northville High School students were selected as interns who are working closely with Drs. Weaver, Himle, and Weber, between June and August 2023 to develop a youth-focused, entertaining, technology-assisted depression treatment program. The team is building the intervention in Entertain Me Well, an online treatment platform created by Dr. Weaver, Dr. Himle, and TIDR faculty Dr. Anao Zhang to deliver cognitive behavioral therapy using engaging character-driven storylines and intentionally designed for quick and low cost tailoring of text, images, examples, and quotes.
